My Mom Is Paranoid About Our Patio Furniture Being Stolen?? (help!)?

By admin

My mom has been talking about getting some new patio furniture, so i went searching online for something nice. I thought i had found two perfect things for our smallish backyard/patio, but when i told her, she said that we couldn’t get it because it would be stolen.
She acts like this all the time. Always negative and paranoid. Do YOU think that it would be stolen? We live in a VERY safe/rich-er (ER!) neighborhood. haha. I suppose she’s concerned because the one i showed her was wicker, and it would be easier to steal than other things.
This just bothers me. Is there anything i can say to change her mind? It would be so perfect to put in back. I just want to know what you think. I seriously doubt someone would steal it. Ugh.

Patio Furniture As Living Room Furniture?

By admin

Have you ever heard or seen anyone do this and how did it look?
We have a very small livingroom and furniture had become so bulky. I thought that wicker would make the room a little bit more open.
What do you think?

What Colors Are Best For My Humble Patio Furniture?

By admin

I am moving into a home with a cute little side, covered patio. It is rectangular with several small trees on the side. Nothing special. Just some concrete and a wood cover. I currently own some nice deep green plastic chairs and a white bench with table. What colors would you recommend spray painting them? All the same color or separate? Dark wicker planters, stone planters, and a medium stone waterfall will be coming with me as well. Thank you!

Is There Something I Should Do To Wicker Before Putting It Outside?

By admin

I have a wicker set of furniture that I’ve had inside for a while, but now I’m getting new furniture and want to put the wicker outside for some patio furniture. Is there something special I should be putting on it, like a spray or something, or will it be okay in the elements? I’m in Alberta, Canada and we get rain, snow, hail, etc. Bringing the furniture inside on a crappy day isn’t an option. Any help would be appreciated!

Maintaining Wicker Furniture Outdoors?

By admin

I have inherited a wicker / rattan patio set from the previous house owners. It will have to be used and kept outdoors for the summer and I would like to know what type of wax / oil to use on it to afford it some protection from Northern England weather (ie usually wet and windy)!
